Meet Beth: Always Looking One Layer Deeper

Employee Spotlight
Some people enjoy solving problems, but Beth Owens likes to go one step further and find answers to questions that nobody thought to ask in the first place.
As Director of Client Services at 4WARN®, Beth spends her days analyzing data, identifying patterns, and helping customers better understand the digital risks developing around them.
It’s All About the People
If you ask Beth what attracted her to 4WARN, she will answer you in record time.
“It’s the people.”
Beth genuinely enjoys collaborating with her teammates, sharing ideas, and solving problems together. She also enjoys helping customers understand complex data by finding new ways to simplify and communicate what the numbers mean. The opportunity to work with a team that is building something new while helping organizations understand emerging areas of risk is the perfect job for Beth.
“I’ve been analyzing data my entire career across quite a few markets,” she said. “ I was excited to join 4WARN and apply that experience to a completely different data set and a new way to help people.”
Following the Questions
When Beth starts analyzing information, she doesn’t always look for a specific answer. Instead, she looks for patterns, connections, and things that simply don't make sense yet. One discovery often leads her to another question and then another layer of analysis.
What she enjoys most are the “a-ha” moments, when different pieces of information suddenly come together and a pattern becomes obvious.
"It’s cool when we identify a trend and then see it impacting our clients in the real world,” she said. “When what we’re seeing in the data matches what’s actually happening in the market, it’s incredibly validating.”
Those moments are exciting because they help Beth show customers exactly how risk is developing around them and give them the tools to take action before it becomes too costly or difficult to manage.
Looking Beyond the Obvious
Beth believes one of the biggest mistakes organizations make is focusing only on what’s directly in front of them.
A law firm may not be targeting a particular insurer today, but if that same firm is actively targeting similar organizations in a specific region, Beth sees that as an urgent signal that people can’t ignore.
"It’s easy to assume you’re fine because something isn’t happening directly to you,” she said. “But we all know that’s not how risk works.”
Building Things That Help
Beth loves data analysis, but her true passion is building something new. From improving processes and developing databases to organizing information more effectively or creating a tool that helps a teammate, she’s constantly thinking about how things can work better.
"Creating is my favorite part,” she said. “I love coming up with ideas for things that haven’t been developed yet and building something that can help our team and ultimately our customers.”
Helping the team and helping customers are closely connected in Beth’s mind. The tools, processes, and analyses she creates are all focused on making information more useful and helping people reduce risk.

What Success Looks Like
When asked what success looks like, Beth’s answer has nothing to do with reports, dashboards, or metrics.
“When someone says they learned something that they never realized before,” she said, “that’s a great outcome to my data analyses.”
For Beth, the most rewarding part of her job is when customers take something they’ve learned from 4WARN’s intelligence reports and use it to improve, adapt, or approach a problem differently. Knowing that her work helped someone make a better decision is what makes it all worthwhile.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, Beth enjoys running, gardening, traveling, spending time with her dogs, and planning Disney vacations. She rarely sits still for long and is always looking for the next challenge, project, or adventure, whether it’s growing the largest watermelons and zucchinis or running a marathon.
The People Behind the Intelligence
Customers see the reports, insights, and recommendations that come from 4WARN’s intelligence, but behind those deliverables are people like Beth who spend their days asking tough questions, validating data, testing assumptions, and looking for new ways to make information more useful and actionable.
Customers benefit from the insights Beth uncovers every day, but her teammates know her as someone who is always willing to jump into a challenge and keep looking for the answers to questions that most people never even think to ask.
We’re so grateful to have her on the team!
